This brief was to design a flyer to promote the company book club, first of its kind. This was the first in-person event after the pandemic, so there was a need to make this event feel special and exclusive (limited tickets were available). Because of this, we wanted the flyer to be more bespokely designed and themed than the company’s visual content style, it needed to stand out in social media feeds.
With the event activity in mind, I leaned heavily on imagery of books and paper, to create a rough and rustic style to evoke to a community focused, intimate ‘grassroots’ setting. But also to get away from the digital slickness of screens we’ve become accustomed to during lockdown. The style is aligned with Amaliah’s brand style; using analogue, ‘human’ elements in a very digital space.
